Yes, we made it! Let the shout of a ‘Happy New Year’ resound, and let the echoes be heard all around as I gladly welcome you all to a glorious and memorable year 2020, a great year which also heralds the second term of the 2019/2020 academic session.
This term, like the previous ones, has loads in stock: a strengthened team of tutors, all set and energized for the tasks the new term holds; a well-packed thirteen academic weeks filled with wonderful experiences for each week and fun-filled learning all the way; captivating class and home drills; engaging extracurricular activities; more sporting drills for great mental alertness, not forgetting our usual morning drills. New this term will be, introducing some vital geographical features and terms to learning, mainly for the upper elementary pupils, that will aid them greatly in their daily lives and academic pursuit as well.
We have chosen ‘Community Helpers’ as the theme for the term and we will extensively address this theme with a view of helping our children learn all they need to know about helping the community. Also, asides acquiring knowledge regarding this theme, pupils will be experiencing firsthand, what it means to be a community helper, as we engage in a give-back to Divine Estate, our treasured community, in a special outing which we have tagged, ESMS Community Walk. It sure promises to be rewarding, let’s watch out for this.
For our country of focus this term, we shall be touring Italy, a country with rich cultural and historical background. We will beam our lights on Rome, the pontiff and his abode, the Vatican City and its great sights and scenery, the Italian economy and historical figures, Italian cuisines and all there is to know about this country.
Please do not forget that the communication book/college assessment diary still remains an invaluable channel of communicating with the teachers. You may as well reach me via my direct line (08034305734) on issues pertaining to the Upper Elementary and College that needs urgent or due attention.
Once again, I welcome you all to this new term and just like always, solicit your unwavering support as we journey through this term with hard work and commitment.
God bless you all.
